Back to Cambridge

Planning to the Nth

What is the best thing that can happen to a travel blogger when she’s lost all her travel photos? Get the photos back? And that’s what’s happened. I took the camera card to Payam Data Recovery, just to check out if something could be done with it. A week later, I was picking up my photos, saved onto a USB stick. And so I can share the more interesting parts of my recent trip to England after all.  It’s fair to say I’m over the moon.

Back in Ely, I spent ages going from room to room in the house where Oliver Cromwell and his family lived for ten years. It’s quite a well-to-do-looking home, filled with very interesting English historical information, Oliver having run the country for awhile in the 1600s, before the Royals took over again.

The bedroom where Cromwell died. They say there's a ghost here. The bedroom where Cromwell died. They say there’s a ghost here.

Product Review: Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation Facial Creme

Can you believe it’s already the last Sunday of November?!?!? God this year is flying by…crazy!
For this week’s product review, I decided to look at a product that I wasn’t super crazy about. I recently ordered some Christmas gifts from Sephora and got a sample size of this Ole Henriksen moisturizer. My impression? Eh.

I expected this moisturizer to be fabulous because…well it’s a high end brand. Sadly it was just ok.

I love moisturizers that keep my skin plump and fresh for hours. This one did hydrate my skin but only for about an hour. After that, my skin was void of moisture.

This moisturizer isn’t horrible, but I expected it to really seep into my pores and keep my skin fresh-looking. Unfortunately it didn’t do this.

I will say though that the scent is pretty light. It’s not super chemical-y or pungent so that’s definitely a plus!
