Snake in the Kitchen by Joel F

poem about anorexia, bulimia, dieting, slimming, losing weight , joys of joel poems The Snake In The Kitchen by Joel F –

Tasting but not eating
sipping yet not drinking

Following the reading
of the book about slimming

Calorie counting
fallacies digesting

Swallowing pills
intoxicating chills

A Lying Mirror
lo’ and behold

Litany of lies
being told

The bulging hips
The sagging belly

Get those pills
and don’t leave any

Self esteem
that is diving

in a pool
that is conniving

the locked basket

scary casket
of pandora’s trinkets

Smitten and bitten
by the snake in the kitchen.

Daily Prompt: Hyperbole

2016 Tennis Hermant Cup Champion!

14917099_10153780400827315_8289980242707469041_oHi, how’s everybody?

It’s been a while since my last post. I’ve been busy with school, work, tennis, friends but i always make sure to be up to date with our blog.

Last week, i won The Tennis Hermant Cup Championship at the Queen’s Tennis Club in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. You can see me in the picture, proudly holding the cup with my double partner and friend, Virgil Sammartin.

Finishing first gave my team (University Of Montreal) a money prize that we will use to fund our 2016-2017 tennis season. Also worth a mention, Mcgill University from Montreal too, finished second in that tournament.

Don’t forget to follow us on Instagram where we have almost 3500 followers!

Did any of you won a particular competition in the past? Let me know, i’m curious to know what kind of champion we have here hehe 🙂

Have a good week…

Wet and windy

The Journey of My Left Foot (whilst remembering my son)

Sunday 6th November

Wet and windy, squally showers

Dark and stormy, choppy seas

Cold and rainy, heavy downpours

Blustery and overcast, scudding clouds.

Love you forever

My precious son

Missing you

Treasured Angel

Wetand windy at the beach

Dark and stormy

Cold and rainy

Love you forever A break in the rainclouds when we came to see you
