“I think I can, I think I can, I think I can…” Success starts with positive self-talk.
I think I can, I think I can, I think I can. The power of belief and repetition are underestimated. Your thoughts have more influence over your life than you realize. Interview any successful person and they’ll tell you how important positive self-talk is to your confidence. You must believe you can succeed.
Here are three great affirmations successful people recite to themselves every day:
1. I expect to win. I deserve to win.
One of the problems many people have in common is low expectations. They don’t expect the best; they don’t really expect to succeed. Maybe they set a high goal but expect only to make it halfway there. Some claim having low expectations saves them from disappointment, but they’re only holding themselves back. You must not only expect to win but feel like you deserve it, too. If you don’t think you deserve it, then you may unintentionally self-sabotage.
2. I will not care what other people think.
Fear of people is another major obstacle on the road to success. If you’re scared about what other people think, then starting that business, training to one day make it into the NFL, or changing careers in your 50s will be extremely challenging. You might not even pursue your goal due to the fear of what other people think. Stop caring what other people think when it comes to achieving your goals and being yourself.
3. I can’t do everything today, but I can take one small step.
In the world of distractions and quickly evolving technology, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. When you set a goal, there seems to be too much to do in order to accomplish it. Just take it one day at a time, one task at a time, and you’ll reach your goal. When you feel overwhelmed, you seek out distractions like social media and other forms of entertainment, which will not bring you closer to living the successful life you envision.
Success affirmations are helpful for changing what you believe at a subconscious level. When you tell yourself something so many times, you eventually begin to believe it. When you start believing, you then start working and becoming focused on accomplishing those goals that you have set for yourself. To get started on seeing more success in your life, repeat these three affirmations every day. It all starts with positive self-talk.
